Recessed light/planters

Recessed lights...  the canister, and a roll of corrugated aluminum.

Wrap the canister with the aluminum and screw to canister

Add burlap and plants.  These silks are for show, but come springtime, I'll add dirt and plants.

For the LOVE of SHABBY CHIC :)

Beautiful turquoise under the white....

Isn't this why we love the sander?

No explanation needed. Lovin' the crackle.
Sanded and smooth.

Just clean it and enjoy it!
There was very little blue left when I found this child's chair, but it's just enough :)

Vintage "junk" for shelves

We salvaged this wood door with a copper
plate and glass knobs.  Cut into thirds.... and we have a shelf!

Flip the printer's drawer upside down and add iron wall brackets.

This was a 70's style oak cabinet. We painted it black and added doors made from an old barn door.  The shelf on top is a vintage ironing board. I gave it a shabby look with white paint.

Primitive tool tote turned sideways and screwed to the wall over the window.

I didn't have much room over my cabinets for decorating, so this old primitive ladder did the trick for starters.

Before... and during the paint change...

I added some free-hand dry-brush graphics and outlined the lettering with a paint pen.

Grain bins... bringing 'em inside!

Grain elevators are historic, and this strap of bins came from an elevator in Farmland Indiana.

I sealed the iron bins with clear spray sealer.... these are very heavy, so they are screwed directly to the wall.

The stuff inside changes with the seasons!

Chocolate! My favorite collection...

My personal CHOCOLATE collection :)

It all started with this awesome vintage crate.  It's my coffee table AND is great for storage.

Stuffed, and tucked and hung... all above my window.
