Vintage Inspired Ladies Boutique!

We have a new store in my town!  The Lux Boutique is a ladies clothing store with a vintage
flair, and I want to share how the owner, Katie, has displayed her merchandise around repurposed vintage finds.
And... I THANK her for shopping in my booth at The Treasure Mart! We met while she was shopping
in my booth, and I love seeing how she uses these pieces for displays. Not everything in these pics are from
my booth, but quite a few pieces are, and I'm simply wanting to share ideas here for vintage design. Have fun looking !

Every display piece has been carefully selected to enhance her merchandise.

Retro orange suitcase is great for bright fabric purses.

I removed a broken door and painted this china cabinet black... and now is displays tops in the Lux Boutique.

Another piece I painted black .....shabby buffet... swooped up by Katie from the Treasure Mart.

My handy guy rebuilt this chippy column.  From my booth to Lux, it now sits beside this awesome iron room screen, and new fashions. Cool stuff !

The turqouise and gray shelf unit was something I repaired, painted, and added aluminum around
the bottom where the wood was badly dinged up... and now it's looking pretty in Katie's shop.

Orange, blue, hat box, hat box.... thanks again Katie ;) It's fun to go into her store
and see what came out of my booth again.

Fun and funky chairs and modern table are super cool... right outside the dressing rooms.

This mirror had been for sale in my booth for months. Katie found a great way to give it a new life.

Clever !

A "Chic and Shabby" office design

I always wanted to create a space in our home for my office in a way that I create space in my booths at the stores where I sell.... this is my chippy, shabby, rusty office design :)

Very cool copper hardware... my honey likes to use it as his coat rack LOL !

Layered perfection!

Peeling veneer isn't easy to replace, so I add primitive weathered wood over the top for a quick fix.

My grandpa's chandelier... chain covered with grain bags.

The ladder is resting on the door at the other end, and this end is suspended with the heavy rusty chain.

A Christmas gift from my son.... the perfect finish :)

Building a new booth

Creating the "store front" with the porch rails and suspended windows

Future kitchen corner

Free and cheap stuff worked perfect for my "walls"

View from the outside corner

View from an inside corner, window and screen suspended

Filling up the kitchen corner
Open for now.... more windows, doors, and ladders next week :)

Can't get enough of the Shabby Look!

A vintage vanity with no mirror makes a VERY nice desk :)

The antique ironing board had a broken rivet, so the legs were removed and
it was a perfect board for a laundry sign!

I sold this cabinet to a local dealer, and to my suprise, I saw it
on display at one of the weekend flea markets ... that was fun!

Antique school desk .... I painted white over the dark green and gave
it a "once over" with the sander.

All I had to do to this mahagony painted desk was shabby the edges.

A freebie.... makes a cool room screen. I added the paint, burlap, silks and twine.

Chicken coop + window with paint graphics = coffee table !
